Today's early ultrasound indicates it's a boy (see 2nd image); we'll have a couple more scans to confirm later, as this is pretty early to tell for sure (just 12 weeks and 4 days pregnant). The ultrasound technician said the umbilical cord was down around the baby's privates, so while it looks like a boy it is possible that it's the cord in the way. As long as the baby cooperates, we'll find out for sure at our 3D session on Sept 4!

Best way I can think to describe this is to imagine the baby sat on a copier machine naked...rear end is near the bottom right of the image, thighs are the whiter parts to either side of the privates (the ultrasound tech put the cursor (+) by what she said looked like boy parts).
